TRANSPORT RULES

Students can avail the school transport subject to the availability of seats. The routes of the school buses are framed keeping in mind the needs of the students and they should consult the school Transport In-Charge for details.

  1. The school does not take the responsibility for providing bus facility to all areas.
  2. The Transport Declaration Form is required to be filled in order to avail the school transport. This form can be collected from the Transport In-charge from the school accounts office.
  3. The duly filled form should be submitted in the School Office.
  4. The total transport fee is determined by the distance student travels. Please note that the distance in kilometer (km) is measured according to the route taken by the bus.
  5. No queries will be entertained for changing of existing bus routes, stops and for extension of routes during the session.
  6. While calculating the bus fee, part usage during any month will be counted as a full month.
  7. Transport fee will be charged for 11 months in a year. The amount is payable along with school fees on a quarterly basis.
  8. A written application must be given one month in advance to discontinue the transport facility and the dues for the month of withdrawal shall be paid.
  9. In case of any change of a temporary or permanent nature, in transport pick up/drop point or transport route of any student, the permission for the same has to be sought by making an application to the Transport Department in the School office.
  10. School reserves the right to deny the use of the bus to any student at any time and to change or to cancel any particular route, when necessary.

BUS DISCIPLINE RULES

  1. Parents are requested not to enter the school buses to see off and receive their wards.
  2. Parents should not try to overtake and stop the school bus to facilitate the boarding of their wards as this endangers the safety of the bus and its occupants.
  3. Parents should not argue with the teachers present in the bus or the Conductor/Driver. If there is any problem, a written complaint may be made to the Transport In-Charge.
  4. If any parent whose child is availing school transport service wishes to take their ward privately in his/her own transport on a particular day, she/he should inform the Transport In-charge till 10.00 a.m.
  5. Parents of students till class III (or whoever is authorized by the parents) have to produce Security Pass meant for guardians at the bus stop to receive their wards, failing which the student will be brought back to the school and will be handed over only on production of Security Pass.
  6. No student shall be allowed to travel by school bus without Student Identity Card
  7. All Students using the school bus are expected be on the right side of the bus stop at least five minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
  8. Buses will not wait for the late comers.
  9. If a student misses his allotted bus he should not try to board any other bus. It is the responsibility of the parents to drop their wards to the school. However the students shall return by the allotted bus.
  10. The front door of the bus is the only authorized entrance and exit.
  11. All students must be seated immediately after boarding their buses. Reservation of seats for co-commuters is not allowed under any circumstances. Seats in the bus should be allotted to the students by the Bus teacher in the order of their bus stop.
  12. While the bus is moving student must not move around in the bus and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
  13. Objects of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
  14. Courteous behavior is expected at all time. Unruly behaviour like striking and shouting is strictly prohibited. If the child has filled two reflection forms for unruly behaviours he/she would be suspended from using the bus facility for an indefinite period of time.
  15. The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
  16. The driver’s are authorized to stop buses at the designated stop only unless otherwise directed by the Bus Teacher. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the safety of students and is subject to change.
  17. Students will be held responsible for any damage to buses caused by negligence or vandalism.
  18. English should be the language to be used in the bus.
  19. Teachers to ensure students will get up from their seats once the conductor opens the Exit Gate after the driver applies the brake.
  20. The Bus Teachers and Student Bus Monitors are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the Principal.
  21. Misbehavior, bullying of students, use of abusive language and failure to abide by bus rules could lead to a student being debarred from using School Transport.

RULES FOR NON BUS STUDENTS

  1. It is strongly recommended that parents do not risk the safety by using stray vans/rickshaws for getting them dropped or picked from the school premises.
  2. Students should be picked up only by their parents/guardians or by escorts who have been authorized by the parents in writing. An Escort Card shall be issued to them.
  3. Parents/guardians/escorts have to produce the Security Pass at the school gate to receive their ward, failing which the student will not be handed over to them.
  4. Parents / guardians / escorts of the students should report at the school gate 10 minutes before the school gets over to collect their wards.
  5. In case the Security Pass is lost or misplaced, the child can be released on the basis of a written application signed by the parents and approved by the Principal.
  6. If due to certain emergencies, a student has to leave the school campus during school hours, a written application signed by the parents has to be given to the Mother Teacher. If the request is accepted, a permission slip will be issued which has to be presented at the school gate.
